We have a great contract opportunity for a Category Buyer to join the Category Engineering team.
As a Category Buyer, you will have a leading role in developing and executing sourcing strategies within the Engineering, to ensure financial performance against the budget associated with Engineering projects and managed services delivered on behalf of the Engineering function.
This role is critical in ensuring that these funds are spent appropriately and all contracts perform in line with expectations.
You will also act as a point of contact for all commercial correspondence relating to the Engineering contracts within the category. You will also be responsible for managing and interpreting the performance of contracts, resolving any contract disputes and leading any contract discussions that may result in modifications to the existing contracts.
Extensive experience in a purchasing and contract management capacity.
Strong communication and presentation skills (written and oral).
Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
Understanding of contract approval and management processes.
Experience/understanding of regulated procurement CIPS or similar recognised qualification.
Understanding of how the various Engineering contracts will help to achieve specific business goals.
Understanding of utilities operations and support services.
