Description
A Commercial Manager is required for a government client based in London
The post holder will have the primary responsibility for the commercial activities within the Projects, including that of third party consultants. The post-holder will be responsible for managing large capital budgets over multiple financial years.
Stakeholder engagement will be a critical activity managed by the post-holder. They will assist the project leaders with the development and maintenance of comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communications plans.
Experience required:
Recent and relevant Commercial Management experience gained from delivering a major capital construction projects, preferably with a substantial business change work stream.
Excellent and proven knowledge of techniques for monitoring, and controlling programme budgets.
Effective commercial advice and the ability to command respect and create a sense of community amongst the members of Project teams.
Understanding of good procurement practices
Sound analytical skills with the ability to collate financial and other information from a range of sources
Explains complex verbal and written financial information
Anticipates objections to financial or commercial proposals and handles them effectively by acknowledging issues
Providing a Customer Focused Service
Develops a good understanding and anticipates the needs of customers. Takes responsibility for delivering a high quality service and builds a rapport with Sponsors and stakeholders.
The role will be based in London, will run for 3 months initially at a rate of up to 500 per day
