Country SAPs and global consolidation tools like ABACUS Consolidator.
Key focus
Automated/formalized data collection, processing and provisioning.
This investment is key in preparing the future Finance IS architecture. It will require defining/designing:
- governance structures including data
- process and systems governance
Enhanced Common Data Store.
This investment is key to establishing a Common Finance Data Store:
- defining/designing the Information Model and Information standards based on company's Management Reporting (Steering Model)
- Establish Data Staging Area in 2017
- Implement data structures
This would be an ideal opportunity to run a first pilot project with a robust workforce automation solution (BPM) in Finance.
- Replacement of CIMT (with use of BPM Software as pilot project)
Common Group Planning and Forecasting Platform (PB&F).This investment is key in establishing company Controllers as Business Partners.
It will require defining/designing:
- Group and Division/BU Core data models
- Governance for Core data
- Group and Division/BU reporting and planning capabilities
- Local planning and develop roll-out strategy (for 2018).
Common Reporting and Analytics Layer (including Advanced Analytics)
This investment will be key in defining a standard reporting and analysis platform (ie GBS Reporting Factory)
- Assess and Define Reporting Requirements and Standards (Steering Model)
- Set-up analytics infrastructure (HW/SW)
- Roll-out Reporting for new projects.All above initiatives are based on the FinArch draft roadmap.
