Description

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a long term contract opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

The Project Coordinator will have the opportunity to work on large scale infrastructure projects that consists of data center consolidations and builds. At the direction of a Senior Project Manager the Project Coordinator will provide assistance on one or more Projects. The Project Coordinator will be an integral team player who helps to successfully manage and execute projects on time and on budget.
Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Project Manager with planning, directing and coordinating activities
  • Compiles project status reports, coordinates project schedules and schedules/conducts project meetings as necessary
  • Documents and distributes meeting minutes and action items
  • Manages project issues and/or system defects ensuring all project team members and stakeholders are aware and following proper process and procedure for quick resolution
  • Maintain project schedule in MS Project or similar PM tool
  • Ensures all information for the project is kept up-to-date in the PPM system which may include entry of project costs and management of project invoices
  • Primary role is assisting Senior Project Manager but may manage a project or initiative

Qualifications

  • Bachelor' s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business administration, engineering or a related discipline (information technology focus a plus)
  • Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions
  • 2-5 years of IT Project Coordination experience
  • Active CAPM/PMP or pursing certification is desired
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments
  • Ability to take direction and work well under limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to see the long term vision
