Finance Analyst - Reinsurance - Healthcare Client

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to work for a leading Health Insurance client. This role is responsible for all aspects of the administration and reporting of Reinsurance for Group Protection products.
This person will also be expected to provide some Finance support, analytics and reporting on Group Protection and Individual Income Protection products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit reinsurance accounts
- Handle all aspects of reinsurance premiums and claims including communication with relevant parties
- Perform all finance/accounting functions for Reinsurance
- lead change in reinsurance change efforts, including system requirements and recaptures
- Support the production of Product results
- Support production of product based KPI packs
- Assisting in maintenance of financial models appropriate for Aviva Group Protection and Individual Income Protection business
- Support the submission of results, forecasts and budgets
- Compliance with and improvement of relevant controls and governance including support internal and external audits
- Interface with relevant Operational and Life Finance teams
Skills and Experience
- Able to perform with little supervision and using own initiative to problem solve and deliver objectives
- Good knowledge of spreadsheet packages
- Insurance knowledge
- Knowledge of reinsurance (desirable)
- Awareness of actuarial reporting requirements (desirable)
- General accounting experience or training (desirable)
