Financial Modeller/Strategy Analyst
Exciting contract opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst with extensive, detailed finance Modelling experience from within large scale organisations.
Working for a leading Telecoms organisation, this role will work directly for the Head of COO Finance, liaising with the Network Finance team.
This is a demanding role that requires a self-motivated individual who is capable of achieving a high standard of accuracy and achieving deadlines, whilst building strong relationships internally and supporting discussions with external parties when required. You must be able to manage a number of senior stakeholders, be capable of problem solving, prioritising and have a pro-active and get it done attitude, be flexible in a fast moving environment and have excellent interpersonal skills with all seniority levels.
Responsibilities
- Own the financial modelling of the respective technical solutions
- Create standard model for each scenario, consistent with how we currently look at Network expenditure
- Quickly get an understanding of the network economics and financials, including gaining an understanding of the analysis done to date
- Highlight insights, plus risks and opportunities to each case.
- Build rapport with the Core Negotiation Team, internal technical support and external advisors where appropriate, to ensure strong collaboration.
- Build rapport with the Network Finance team
- Support gaining shareholder approval for the final agreed solution
Knowledge and experience
Must Have:
Advanced Financial Modelling skills - This is essential
Ability to take and understand inputs from various sources
Turn inputs into financial models
Ability to work to tight time-frames
Communicate financial issues to non-finance individuals
Experience of interfacing with commercial teams.
Nice to Have:
Previous experience of a technical environment
