Communication and Engagement Manager (Internal, External, Health, Social Care) required for up to 2-year contract with public sector client based in Edinburgh

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Communications Manager who will lead in the strategic planning and delivery of communications and engagement activity in support of a large scale delivery plan, acknowledging the importance of effective stakeholder engagement and public involvement. The role is high profile and will include the commissioning and delivery of an innovative suite of materials and tools to support communications and engagement. 

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge and experience of delivering high profile, complex internal and external communications and engagement exercises
  • Experience of delivering marketing campaigns from analysis to implementation and the production of high quality, innovative materials/collateral
  • Highly developed digital engagement and community management skills
  • Experience of the planning and delivery of communication/engagement events and conferences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability foster excellent working relationships.
  • Excellent project management ability and organisational skills
  • It would be highly desirable for the candidate to have an understanding of health, social care and/or the NHS.

NB - this role has been deemed out of scope for IR35
