Senior Civil/Structural Engineer
A Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with Building Structures experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Cumbria.
This is a 12 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Senior Civil/Structural Engineer contract role
You will be required to undertake engineering feasibility assessments, preliminary designs and reports within own sphere of responsibility to professional standards of quality to meet target dates for delivery on our defence clients building structures. You will also undertake condition surveys, write technical reports, prepare concept designs and options studies that will form the basis of further development work.
Key skills required for the Senior Civil/Structural Engineer
- Degree qualified in civil/structural engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Chartered or near Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
- Post graduate experience in the design and construction of infrastructure projects.
- Experience of marine civil engineering is desirable.
- Experience of structural design in concrete and steel to British Standards/Eurocodes is essential.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Project).
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
