Please below details of a new contract for a master data manager for a major aerospace/defence company based in Dorset.
Role: Master Data Manager
Duration: 6 months rolling
Location: Dorset
Rate: Flexible
Due to the rollout of new ERP system and increase in volumes, my client are seeking a Master Data Manager.
As a key member of the Operations Team this position will be responsible for the creation and management of all item/product data; ensuring the coherence and quality of all released product data
Responsibilities
*Owning product/item data templates
*Creating and maintaining Item/Product Data on ERP; liaising with other business areas as
*required
*Creating and maintaining resources/resource groups
*Creating and maintaining item routing including storing and controlling detailed assembly
*procedures - liaising with Production
*Managing the coherence between Design Tool and ERP item data, including implementation of
*engineering changes - creating and maintaining item variant data as necessary
*Producing Item/BoM status reports as required
*Conducting impact assessment of potential engineering changes liaising with other business
*areas as required
*Attending Material Review Board
Experience
*Experienced in the use of ERP systems
*Flexible knowledge to help and support others Supporting business change from R&D to
*production
*Engineering knowledge
*Communication skills
*Qualifications from engineering background with sound knowledge of how a business is run
*Work as a team member and as an individual
*Computer and typing skills
*Knowledge of TeamCenter and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 would be an advantage
