Description

Responsibilities:

  • To assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices.
  • Own the departments Risk & Control Assessment submission.
  • To interact with internal and external audit and testing groups to co-ordinate, prepare and submit Treasury documentation as part of ISAE 3402, CASS, CASS RP, CMAR, Best Execution and Payments audits carried out on Treasury functions.
  • To assist in the maintenance of HSBC internal control standards, including participation in and timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any recommendations or observations raised by external auditors and regulators.
  • To ensure full adherence by Treasury Operations/Product/Securities Lending Trading teams to all regulatory standards including, but not limited to, CASS, CASS RP, CMAR, MAD/MAR, Best Execution, Volcker, MIFID, AIFMD and UCITS V.
  • To understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of HSS Treasury Operations and to assist in the successful and timely completion of all reviews of Treasury functions undertaken by the HSBC Compliance teams.
  • To maintain and ensure adherence to the HSS Treasury Operations error, loss and breach reporting function.
  • To chair weekly Breach/Loss/Error meetings with Treasury Management team and provide information to other HSBC Group based functions as appropriate.
  • To assist in the timely preparation, presentation and submission to HSS Compliance & Risk teams of monthly CASS Internal System Evaluation (ISEM) and Treasury Risk Heapmap documents and CMAR returns.
