A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Contract Manager to work on their offshore Substation. The Contract Manager will provide support and take part in a competitive dialogue process with relevant suppliers for their offshore wind farm project. Apply knowledge from previous projects into invitation to tender and prepare for tender process. This will be a 6mth freelance contract from approx. 22nd May 2017 to approx.; 30th September 2017 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. Hours of work will be agreed with the department Director (approx.; 40-50%) work load.Responsibilities:
- For procurement, contracts and commercial claims management within a specific-sub-project in an asset project.
- To manage procurement and contract management activities on package level.
- To coordinate with lead contract manager, contract managers and package managers.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders (package level) communication to vendors.
- Implement/intelligence/solutions from product lines in the project according to the projects authorisation Matrix.
- Compliance with procurement management plan.
- Perform commercial management of contracts.
- Communicate with suppliers during budget pricing and tender/negotiation.
- Manage pre-qualification of vendors, draft PQ notices, PQ criteria and final evaluation in cooperation with the package manager.
- Prepare commercial tender documents.
- Prepare final contract documents.
- Pro-active contract management and claim negotiations.
- Assess/evaluate/negotiate claims which effect the contract commercially (time & price).
- 5 years professional experience and knowledge of the Onshore Substation module is essential.
- 5 years relevant experience with procurement and contract management (within process or Construction).
- BSc/MSc relevant technical/commercial education.
- Experience within procurement (services, Supplies, works).
- Experience of working on an offshore wind farm would be advantageous.
The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone.
