Reinstatement Scheduler

6-month temporary contract - Sheffield

£ Attractive hourly rate - Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of the UK's largest construction & engineering companies, to work as a reinstatement scheduler within the highways division.

This is a 6 month temporary contract to start in May. The successful post-holder will be responsible for planning and scheduling work to meet key business performance targets and ensuring excellent customer service.

Role purpose:

To effectively plan reinstatement and support activities, with consideration of planning priorities, SLA's, KPI's and in accordance with the relevant notice period.

Key Accountabilities:

To ensure all tasks are scheduled within the required SLA's (service level agreements)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning of backfill, reinstatement and S&G teams
  • Resource Planning using relevant WMS
  • Reactive planning of emergency work
  • Liaising with construction managers, agents and gangs
  • To ensure that gangs have the relevant material information and dimensions required to complete the job
  • Management and updating on WMS of gang holidays, appointments and sickness
  • Monitoring and reacting to planner alerts
  • Providing support in the absence of other members of the planning team
  • Effective understanding of mobile devices used, relevant to area.
  • Scheduling of interim and defect reinstatements within required SLA's
  • Open to flexible working patterns and overtime working to meet business needs.

Interacts with:

  • Employees on the contract
  • Management on the contract
  • Nominated representatives on behalf of the client
  • Local highway authorities

Skills Required:

  • Ability to manage and lead team members
  • Competent IT User (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work under a high degree of pressure
  • Experience of working within the utility/civil industry (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of working to NRSWA (desirable but not essential)
  • Organised & methodical approach to work
