Description
A global business is looking for a talented Interim Group Financial Accountant to support the reporting team to prepare and produce accurate, timely and relevant external and internal reporting.
The role offers the opportunity to work for a Listed Company and support the global finance team, working closely with director-level stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the group's external reporting including annual report and accounts
- Extract information from group's consolidation system to prepare reports/review disclosures to ensure accuracy and conformity with IFRS
- Present monthly group-wide IFRS and finance training sessions
- Work with group treasury and group tax teams to ensure reporting is in accordance with IFRS
- Assist with impact assessment and implementation in respect of new IFRS and related standards
- Support the financial reporting team by preparing, analysing and reviewing monthly reporting packs
Personal and Professional Competencies:
- Qualified accountant (ACA preferred)
- Experience of either auditing or preparing group consolidated accounts under IFRS
- Experience working for a complex, blue chip, multinational organisation.
- Experience of technical IFRS accounting issues, ideally in a group (FTSE) organisation
- Sociable, engaging individual with a passion for leading and inspiring others.
