Description

A leading Tier 1 Global bank based in London is looking for a FIX On-boarding Analyst to join their MiFID II programme, with the aim of establishing the most cost-effective and efficient connections into and out of Fidessa, equity trading platform.

The FIX On-boarding Analyst will be responsible for developing external connections into and out of Fidessa, the main equity trading platform used globally by our client. The FIX On-boarding Analyst will also be responsible for overseeing connections from Fidessa to affiliated systems such as algo platforms, smart order routing systems, markets and Middle Office systems. A cross-asset global FIX infrastructure has being developed to support clients connecting into Fidessa.

The role includes working with clients' IT teams and third party vendors to establish the most cost-effective and efficient connections. Analysis is required to normalise message flows and interpret different implementations of the FIX protocol.

The FIX On-boarding Analyst is expected to have a detailed knowledge of the FIX protocol and work under their own initiative in many areas of analytical work surrounding the on-boarding of a client into Fidessa.

Experience required for the FIX On-boarding Analyst role:

  • Investment banking previous experience as a business analyst within the equities business.
  • Detailed knowledge of the FIX protocol.
  • Experience of the Fidessa v5 product set.
  • Experience of testing Front Office trading systems.
  • Experience of working with external network vendors such as Bloomberg, Autex and TNS
  • Experience of Fidessa v5 global implementation
  • Experience of Appia FIX Engines
  • Experience with FIX networks and OMS/EMS vendors
