Description

Data Warehouse Analyst/Beerse, Belgium/3 months Contract/50 to 71 EUR (Per Hour)

The new Operational Data Warehouse integrates data from many source systems and involves many entities.

Activities include:

  • Analyzing source data and writing functional models of the source data.
  • Creating a functional model of the warehouse based on a conceptual model from our business customer.
  • Creating a functional model of the data marts based on dashboard/reporting/analysis requirements from our business
  • customer.
  • Specification of the transformation of the functional source models to the functional warehouse model.
  • Specification of the transformation of the functional warehouse model to the functional data mart model.
  • Collaboration with other analysis and modelers, with source system experts, with the warehouse and data mart development team

Sytems:

  • ERwin Data Modeling
  • 3NF warehouse modelling, SQL
  • ETL tool: Informatica PowerCenter 9.1
  • Various database tools such as Toad, Squirrel
  • Jira

Profile requirements:

  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing
  • Analysis, design of warehouse solutions
  • Capable of performing to the bone analysis in a short time
  • Capable of writing precise and complete documentation
  • Eager

Non-Technical profile requirements:

  • Accepts personal responsibility for client satisfaction;
  • Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills;
  • Establishes and manages engagement objectives, expectations and quality plan;
  • Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision;
  • Quick learner, motivated self-starter;
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills;
  • Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines;
  • Experience with a global work environment is a plus Methodology/Certification requirements:
  • Master and/or Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or Bioinformatics OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred;
  • Additional certification is a plus;
