Senior Buyer/Coventry/6 months Contract/380 to 550 GBP (Per Day)

Senior Buyer required for a 6 months Contract based in Coventry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for total UK expenditure, identification and delivery of cost-saving initiatives through negotiation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Management of supplier relationships, supplier development and measurement
  • Development and maintenance of Marketing Category plan in line with company goals
  • Lead contract negotiations and develop negotiation plans
  • Interface with Global Category Managers and act as escalation point for Category Specialists
  • Direct input into the UK procurement strategy, governance and policy improvement plans

Previous experience

  • Graduate degree
  • MCIPs or equivalent professional qualification
  • Relevant Category Management expertise gained in a relevant industry or large Blue Chip organisation
  • Accomplished negotiator and influential communicator at a senior level
  • Proven ability and experience of delivering savings
  • A dynamic leader of cross functional/business unit teams
  • Proven, effective stakeholder management expertise
  • A commercial and strategic leader and skilled decision-maker
  • Willing and able to travel within the UK, and internationally on occasion.
