Description
One of the major UK construction and infrastructure companies is looking to appoint a Finance Supervisor (Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience) to join their Finance team in Maidenhead on a 3 month contract basis (with a possibility of contract extension).
Role purpose:
To ensure smooth running of the Final Account Auditing (mostly focused on Purchase Ledger transactions)
Key accountabilities/responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in clearance of Purchase Ledger items and ensuring that Purchase Ledger items are cleared
- Understanding and documenting where all the support for all purchase ledger transactions lies in the contract responsible for
- Ensuring the information is readily available for the audit
- Being the main point of contact for transactional testing
- Working on audit points arising with the auditors to ensure the points are correct and fairly stated (with support of the Finance Manager)
- Ensuring archiving of the project is completed to the Finance Managers satisfaction
- Working with the current team maintaining an effective relationship
- During the end of the audit completion taking on other finance duties to be defined as circumstances at the time indicate. This may include reporting, staff salaries calculations, General Client Application support.
- Performing other ad hoc duties
Ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Deep working knowledge of Purchase ledger
- Experience dealing with Auditors
- Hands on approach
- Construction or project knowledge desirable
- Plant knowledge is an advantage
