Senior Buyer - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Daily Rate
A large, blue chip client of Pontoon Solutions is looking for a Senior Buyer to join a large IT Procurement project of work at their UK headquarters in Warwick.
Job Purpose: To play a considerable role in purchasing and procurement activities for the IT procurement project of work and assist in the strategic sourcing in this space.
Experience required:-
- Demonstrable experience within a large international procurement project of work
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage with the wider business as well as the central procurement function
- A diverse knowledge of sourcing strategies
- Experience of working within a regulated industry
- Ability to influence others from peer group to senior management
- Ability to and proven track record of managing multiple projects and consistently delivering outstanding results
- Ability to prepare and lead negotiations
- Highly effective management of suppliers;
- Sound negotiation and presentation skills;
- MCIPS membership is desirable
