Enterprise Application Architect
Description
Responsible for:
- Producing, developing and overseeing design related artefacts
- Governing the agreed designs of allocated projects to ensure they meet the agreed Enterprise Architecture standards and strategy
- Working in collaboration with the IT delivery streams to determine the optimal solution and architectural strategic directions
- Facilitating and coordinating design reviews for allocated projects
- Supporting the development of IT related strategies
- Producing and updating the Enterprise Architecture guidelines and polices to the related to the assigned architecture domains
- Working in collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture Team to determine relevant templates and architecture artefacts required to support: the IT delivery function including architecture impact assessments and governance policies
- Contributing to building and maintaining the architecture models and relevant Enterprise Architecture repository
- Managing the relevant stakeholders to ensure the appropriate architecture policies and strategy are relevant and adhered to
- Consulting with senior business and IT stakeholders to determine the most pragmatic and optimal architecture solution.
Minimum Experience
Minimum of:
- 5 years experience within and Enterprise Architect role
- 5 years experience in solutioning Enterprise Applications
- 10 years experience in the relevant technology domain
Experience in:
- Enterprise Application and/or COTS implementation methodologies and industry best practices
- Integration best practices and standard patterns to support the integration of Enterprise Applications
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control methodologies
- Business user or external client management, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Utilising industry standard Architecture methods and frameworks
- Providing consultancy services to large organisations
Proven track record of:
- Enterprise Architecture within a complex IT environment
- Acting as design authority within the Enterprise Application domain
- Producing, developing and facilitating design option papers
- Produce and developing IT strategies and roadmaps
Role Specific Experience
Mandatory experience:
Referenceable experience in:
- Managing demanding senior business stakeholders to maintain strong positive relationships while providing the right quality of solution, setting challenging but achievable timescales
- Managing complex supplier relationships bringing multiple competing suppliers together to provide integrated solutions, resolving conflicts and keeping to timescales
- Quickly understanding new business models, technologies and processes, forming a strong understanding of the necessary business outcomes required and the ability to assess the best fit solutions from multiple options
Highly desirable experience:
- Direct experience within the following domains: CRM, ERP, Billing, Finance, Asset Management
- Direct experience in selecting and architecturing cloud based solutions relevant to the business needs
- Direct experience in determining the end to end design and implementation of Enterprise Applications that include: Configuration, Integration, Datamodelling and Data migration, supporting Environments and Infrastructure
- Experience in post implementation support and reviews
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- University degree qualification in an IT related subject
- Strong negotiation and facilitation skills
- Understanding of waterfall and agile methodologies
- Enterprise Architecture or IT related certification
