Cash Accounting Banking Investment Management Cash accounting payable receivable

Our client is one of the world's leading investment managers. An opportunity has arisen in the cash accounting team on a long term temporary basis. Your main duties will be processing global payments, review the dashboard picking up payments and processing through the banking portal.

THE ROLE:

  • Accurate input of multi-currency payments received daily from multiple business areas, eg Treasury, AP, Corporate Control, Tax, AR Collections, RQA, also US Error payments;
  • Monitor daily shared mailbox, responding to all internal/external queries promptly and regularly. Liaise with CSM of banks/business areas to chase up outstanding items;
  • Daily end-of-day checking of all online banking systems to ensure payments have been released;
  • Collate statistics on volume/type of transactions processed;
  • Create and maintain internal procedure documents;
  • Understand and adhere to FCA Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) procedures;
  • Ensure any returned payments are investigated immediately and relevant business areas are notified;
  • Arrange Training sessions with other team members on payment input and bank template setup.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience of working with various banking systems essential;
  • Experience of working in a global corporate environment (dealing with multiple currencies/legal entities) is desirable;
  • Knowledge of CASS rules is desirable but not essential;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals;
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy and adherence to controls;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work within tight deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment;
  • Ability to recognise and resolve problems and identify process improvements within the role.
