Senior NLP Data Scientist - Dublin - 3 months - 430 Euros per day
My client, a leading financial services company, are on the lookout for a Senior NLP Data Scientist to be based in their Dublin office. The role will involve helping the client discover information hidden in vast amounts of data (both structured and unstructured data), and help them make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. The successful individual should have background in innovation including design thinking, prototyping and also have solid commercial awareness.
Knowledge/Experience
Experience of applied research, experimental development and early design activities to validate/invalidate ideas with a focus on analysing and manipulating data.
Extensive experience of natural language processing experience through research and applied projects
Extensive experience in delivering machine learning algorithms that are used at scale in Production environments to deliver Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based products and services.
Extensive experience tackling problems involving Big Data, eg, using the Apache Spark/Hadoop stack.
Solid and proven background and experience with Python, R, Java or Scala for large scale data analytic
Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL environments.
Excellent presentation and communication skills to explain results and methodologies to non-technical stakeholders.

Creative problem solver comfortable with working in rapidly evolving landscape and projects loaded with uncertainty.
Technologically strong and business savvy.
Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups from senior stakeholders and clients to junior team members.
Strong Natural Language Processing skills - entity/relation extraction, normalization, summarisation, word/paragraph/document embedding, ranking, question answering, text/sentiment classification, etc.
Strong programming skills (such as Hadoop MapReduce or other big data frameworks, Java), statistical modelling (lR).
Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimisation algorithms.
