Financial Accountant - General Ledger - Utilities Client

My client is a leading Energy and Utilities client in Warwick, and we are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to work as part of the General Ledger team within finance shared services.
The General Ledger team are the main processing team within Finance Shared Services and they process journals on behalf of the business.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the general ledger team to process journals; there is a high volume of work and a large number of processes to follow
- Liaise with the offshore team on a daily basis
- Work with the wider finance shared service -most work comes from queries and requests from the wider finance team
- Manage KPIs and month end processes
- Look at current processes and make improvements
- Investigating issues and problem solving
Skills and Experience Required
- Fully Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong General Ledger experience
- Experience of working with a complex, global business
- Experience of looking at an improving financial processes
- Understanding of SOX controls would be useful
