Commercial/Procurement/Contract Documentation Writer/Manager- Communications Technology

We are looking for a commercials/Procurement documentation writer for an initial 6- month contract, based in Central London, offering £ per day. The programme is likely to last 12 months.

Our Commercials/Procurement documentation writer will be responsible for reviewing technical specification and common schedules and contracts schedules to create a framework document. The role will be responsible for taking input from technical, Commercial and existing documentation and creating, reviewing and managing inputs and comments from across the procurement team

The consultant will:

  • Create updated documentation drawing from multiple inputs.
  • Use experience to work across the procurement team to identify gaps, and challenge to generate a robust set of documentations.
  • Be responsible for the tracking and administration of the schedules and to track the status across 30 commercial schedules
  • Challenge technical input
  • Responsible for redrafting as required, based on technical, legal, commercial and contract inputs, to deliver a rounded procurement document with in tight timescales and meeting project timescales.

Our commercials/procurement documentation writer needs to therefore have:

  • Experience working in the commercial or contract environment- at least at points or solely focused on the writing'/authoring' elements.
  • Ideally have delivered the above in part in Communications technology, Mobile Communications or from within Communication Equipment Vendors.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in creating drafting commercial documentation in a changing environment with a high degree of technical dependency.
  • Experience of similar commercial and procurement roles within a large Public and or Private Sector Organisation with multiple projects and governance bodies.
  • Working knowledge and ability to work within the HMT 5-case Business case structure is desirable.
