Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector in the UK. We are currently recruiting Requirement Engineer C for 6 months initially with possible extension.
Job Purpose:
The Air Commodities (AC) Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) role requires providing advice on and delivering strategic planning and support arrangements relating to engineering and the technical elements of equipment support and logistics services. This includes planning, delivery and operation of in-service support, equipment modifications, understanding of repair procedures and resolution of design and/or maintenance issues.
It covers the application and management of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles in accordance with the Defence Logistics Framework (DLF), to Defence equipment. The role is responsible for working with Front Line Commands (FLC), Project Management, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Engineering, Industry and other key stakeholders.
The AC ILSM will be working within the DE&S Matrix management organisational structure. Operationally candidates will sit within the AC Portfolio Management Office and once allocated to a project the ILSM will be accountable to the specific project manager for agreeing and delivering the requisite ILS elements of the project.
Typical responsibilities of the role include:
Support the setting up and baselining of projects by agreeing and documenting the ILS deliverables and tasks along with their associated time, cost and quality standards;
Support to understand the customers maintenance and new capability requirements;
Ensuring that the baselined ILS tasks are delivered in accordance with the agreed time, cost and quality standards;
Skills and Experience:
Experience working in Through Life Support/ILSM
Defence ILS Level 2 Licence or equivalent.
