Senior Billables Accountant - Contract - Northampton
Responsible for managing the end to end IS Billables accounting function. Liaison with all stakeholders, be they Commercial, Finance or Operational teams
- Responsible for managing the end to end IS Billables accounting function
- Support, development and managerial responsibility for the other members of IS Billables Accounting Team
- Managing the Monthly reporting cycle for IS projects, including timely and accurate production of monthly revenue and margin reporting, variance analysis and commentary, leading the month end review call with key stakeholders and balance sheet reconciliations where applicable
- Liaison with stakeholders in Telecoms (M&FN Management team, Delivery team, Finance, Commercial and Sales)
- Finance modelling reporting and ad-hoc analysis
- Previous experience in transformation of accounting models and systems
- Challenging profitability of IS projects with Operational and Delivery teams
- Supporting bids and insource/outsource proposals
- Tracking financial KPIs to monitor performance (eg order book, profitability)
- Development of new reporting solutions, automating where possible
- Understand, develop and implement IS accounting policies
Essential experience
- Excellent numerical, analytical and skills
- Experience of ERP systems, business processes and implementing strong financial controls
- Experience with transactional processing with a proven track record of delivery and continual improvement
- Technical knowledge of relevant systems including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Oracle and Insight experience desirable
- Qualified/Part Qualified (continuing in studies) Accountant (ACA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in a management accounting/analyst role
- Experience in managing a small team
