Description
Twenty Financial Services are currently recruiting for an Operational Risk Associate for a Brokerage Firm in London.
The person filling the role will provide support and input into all areas of operational risk management.
Responsibilities
- Production of reports at board level which clearly define the KRIs and KPIs for the monitoring of operational risk
- Assisting duties for the Head of Credit Risk and Global Chief Risk Officer
- Maintenance of the operational risk registers across numerous departments
- Working with the Risk Owners in order to complete assessments based on evaluation of inherent risk, controls and mitigation and residual risk
Incident management
- Recording and consolidation of the data for all incidents across the firm
- Investigation of root cause, impact and remediation; tracking of actions to guarantee completion of fixes
- Oversight of the global policy framework: writing policies and processes for the departments based on subject matter experts' input; understanding the processes involved in functions across the firm
- Conducting meetings of operational areas on a weekly basis which asses performance, mitigation, stress points and issues
Stress & Scenarios
- Provision of support through disaster recovery
- Business continuity: evaluation and documentation of plans to ensure the firm holds understanding regarding its duties and responsibilities
Key Skills
- Minimum of one year experience as an operational risk analyst
- Ambitious communicator with excellent written and spoken English
- Proficiency with Excel
- Excellent understanding of finance; specifically software frameworks and business operations
- Highly desired is experience in leveraged products such as FX or CFDs
