Project Accountant
A Project Accountant is required to work on a twelve month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 12-month contract with a leading UK Defence business.
Overview of the Project Accountant contract role
Working as part of a high performing Finance function in a multi-billion-pound business that is undergoing a period of rapid transformation. The successful candidate will help support the function to shape the future for Finance and ensure that first class financial data is used in decision making.
We are looking for someone with professionalism, good time management skills, attention to detail and who works well as part of a team and in return we offer experience in a fast paced FTSE 100 company.
The key responsibility of a Project Accountant is to work with their manager and team to ensure that long term contract costs of the projects are appropriately accounted for
Key skills required for the Project Accountant
- Part-qualified CIMA would be preferable as a minimum. It is possible that some line management responsibilities for other subcontractors may also form part of the role
- Requirements: Excellent Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint
- Part qualified [CIMA] Level 3 essential
- Essential Experience/Skills: communication, team working, motivation
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
