Senior Project Accountant - CIMA Qualified
A Senior Project Accountant is required to work on a twelve month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK Defence business.
Overview of the Senior Project Accountant contract role
Working as part of a high performing Finance function in a multi-billion-pound business that is undergoing a period of rapid transformation. The successful candidates will help support the function to shape the future for Finance and ensure that first class financial data is used in decision making. We are looking for someone with professionalism, good time management skills, attention to detail and who works well as part of a team and in return we offer experience in a fast paced FTSE 100 company, working in an environment where you can literally see the product taking to the skies.
The key responsibility of a Senior Project Accountant is to work with their manager and team to ensure that long term contract costs of the projects are appropriately accounted for.
Key skills required for the Senior Project Accountant
- Essential Experience/Skills: communication, team working, motivation.
- Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA Level 4
- To be able to provide financial information to aid the decision making process,
- To be able pull together, review and challenge financial information - P&L, Budget Reports and Cash flow,
- The ability to ensure a robust control environment is in place to ensure integrity of the processes and controls
- Requirements: excellent Microsoft excel, word, PowerPoint
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
