Finance Planning & Analysis Associate

We are currently recruiting for our client, a leading provider of software and services to the automobile insurance claims processing industry, for a Finance Planning & Analysis Associate to join their team in Spain.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or coordinate management reporting, including but not limited to financial variance analysis, operational statistics, other financial reports, through the Corporate Reporting System (TM1/Cognos) of diverse locations in the three continents
- Develop and execute processes to allow for continuous analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools to influence the accuracy of the accounting consolidation, closing process and treasury operations
- Take part in the annual preparation and elaboration of the budget and forecasts, reviewing and analysing with different locations about actual versus budget/forecast variances as well as anticipated investment and expenses for the following year
- Partner with local accounting, treasury, tax as appropriate
- Build and manage dashboards and metrics to identify key trends risks and opportunities. Develop, maintain and consolidate GD&C management information including financials and other relevant KPIs
- Participate in the project review process, understanding the issues relating to all projects and challenging the Project Managers to identify any potential financial and operational risks issues

Qualifications:
- 5 + years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with experience in Big Four
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical pronouncements, IFAS knowledge preferred
- Experience with Cognos, TM1 and Dynamics
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Team player with exposure to international operations is highly valued
- Very good level of English, both written & spoken
