Description

With IFRS15 (revenue recognition) go-live drawing closer we are working with a number of clients ensuring they will achieve compliance and we now need an experienced Business Analyst with an accounting background.

Sitting within Business Engagement and MI Workstreams across the wider Programme you will be required to drive business impact analysis & business engagement in collaboration with Business Finance SMEs. You will work with Business Finance SMEs to perform Business impact analysis and communicate to the business re local requirements/processes.

Primary activities

Drive business engagement and related activity in collaboration with local Business Finance SMEs

Represent Business Finance in Regional & Global IFRS 15 forums as required

Liaise with IFRS15 project teams to share best practice on Business engagement and MI responsibilities

Develop rules engine, accounting hub and sub ledger operations

Capture requirements and drive delivery and testing of Business focused MI

Feedback local requirements to Business Finance Operating Model following Dress Rehearsals & embed Target Operating Model into BAU teams

Requirements

You will have trained with a Big 4 accounting firm and will possess excellent communication skills, experience engaging with senior stake holders and the ability to manage competing priorities by assessing urgent versus important whilst leveraging relationships at a Global and Country level to drive delivery.

Experience performing impact assessments/analysis and gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders.

Experience working with Risk and Operational Accounting teams on Regulatory or Accounting Standard projects.

Telecommunications experience is a requirement and the ability to demonstrate broad understanding of international Telco operations.

Experience delivering large scale accounting/regulatory changes (ideally IFRS15) is key.

Rules engine design experience

Knowledge of accounting hub and sub ledger set up

Experience working with teams distributed across countries is preferable.

Exceptional organisation skills and a delivery/output focus.

Demonstrate the ability to assess large amounts of qualitative and quantitative information and distil it down to a multifaceted action plan with clear milestones and ownership.

Self-motivated and experience influencing delivery through other teams and chains of command.

Ability to work under pressure, report to tight deadlines and deal effectively with issues as they arise.

Proven experience and confidence in discussing complex subjects with non-technical internal and external counterparts.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop and communicate effective arguments confidently.

Demonstrated ability to foresee potential risks.
