Marketing Manager

Role Description:

In this managerial position your role will be to develop and execute marketing strategies and tactics to growth the LifeScan business in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg; working very closely with the BU managers, Sales Operations, Finance, Regulatory affairs, your peers across Europe and Worldwide Marketing teams

Key responsibilities for the position include:

* Representing marketing in BeNeLux Leadership Team
* Collaborate with Worldwide Marketing Team
* Setting priorities within the marketing initiatives according to company priorities
* Fully managing the marketing team and prioritizing workload
* Developing, implementing and coordinating appropriate business plans and marketing activities
* Ensuring quantitative and qualitative objectives are met
* Analyzing patient, market and sales data
* Leading the launch of new products and managing the overall portfolio life cycles
* Implementing integrated communication plans to customers, health care professionals and patients
* Communicate proactively with Worldwide Marketing Team to ensure local needs are met
* Planning and monitoring marketing budgets
* Ensuring excellent collaboration with internal and external parties both locally and internationally

* BU manager Belux (direct reporting line)
* Business Coordinator Belux
* Leadership Team Belux: Commercial and Finance Managers/Directors
* Worldwide Marketing Team: Brand, Patient, Copy Clearance, Market Research managers, Customer Service
* Media & PR agency
* Health Care Professionals: Endocrinologists, Specialized Diabetes Nurses, GPs, Pharmacists

Job Requirements (abilities, knowledge, qualifications & experience):

* 7-8 years of business experience, at least 5 of demonstrated marketing experience
* Background in FMCG or LifeScience, ideally with Direct to Consumer/Patient experience
* Good communication skills
* Able to work independently and result oriented
* Good knowledge of English, Dutch and French
* Experience in project management and/or people management is an asset

Skills and capabilities needed for this position:

* Strategic Planning: Experience in the preparation, implementation and on-going quantitative evaluation of business and marketing plans, strategies and tactics.
* Analysis: On-going tracking of marketing activities based on defined KPIs. Able to put together business cases, source of volume and market share models.
* Brand Management: Excellence in leading and ensuring execution of local business plans, sales cycle plans and launching new products. Able to ensure brand integrity by leading efforts across multiple channels (HCPs, Trade, Patient, Payers).
* Media, Promotion & PR: Experience in the development, implementation, control and evaluation of promotional and PR activities (above and below the line, HCP and patient promotions) by working with Media and PR agencies to ensure best use of resources and highest share of voice.
* Budget: Management and control of marketing budgets to achieve best promotional effectiveness, maximum impact on HCP and Patient and market share gains.
* Communication: Professional and direct communication style. Good communicator to peers and customers. Ideally working experience within international marketing structures (Matrix organizations/EMEA).
* Presentations: Considerable experience in creating and giving presentations. Used to present to different audiences (eg Leadership Teams; Sales Conferences).
