Description

My central government client is looking to recruit the services of an Experienced Ingress/ABF Software Engineer.

The contractor will be expected to provide operational support for applications written in Ingress ABF.

ESSENTIAL Skills/experience:

* Extensive knowledge of Ingres RDBMS and Ingres ABF
* Advanced knowledge and experience of Ingres SQL
* Expert knowledge of UNIX (ideally AIX)
* Experience of engaging with customers directly to discuss requirements and issues
* Experience of supporting business applications via a helpdesk
* Excellent analysis/investigative and problem-solving skills
* Experienced in producing complete solutions including documentation to agreed standards
* Able to work on their own initiative, within agreed parameters and standards
* Knowledge and experience of OpenROAD 5.1. with an Ingres RDBMS Back End
* Knowledge and experience of C
* Experience of Agile techniques and principles
* Have excellent communication skills - in person and in writing
* Provide mentoring, coaching and support to other members of the technical team
