Description
A Large Bank is looking for a Governance & Control Finance Individual to join their growing team which looks at the controls and control framework across their wholesale business. This covers the completeness, accuracy and valuation of trade positions, collateral and cash, ensuring consistent reporting and status updates covering the core business of finance, operations and risk. This role will provide independent Oversight Controls around Finance, Risk and Operations. This is a key role in the control framework around the infrastructure, economic, operational and financial reporting of the bank's Wholesale activities.
Day to Day your responsibilities will include the following;
- Ensuring the daily ETE processes are running and validated before distribution
- Key data issues impacting overall businesses (population check) relying on the ETE overnight model are investigated, fixed or remedies communicated to IT
- Breaks reported daily to business with reason codes updated
- Follow up on data integrity/quality issues across the core business areas
For the Manager position within the team, you will be involved in the development, and daily management of processes within the given area/team in the Technology and Operations division as well the delivery and oversight of the daily BAU and Project activities and output.
Experience wise you will need to demonstrate some knowledge of financial and operational reconciliations and control frameworks with some understanding of balance sheet, P&L and operational controls. You will also need to be of a strong analytical mindset with good communication skills together with good knowledge of the bank's systems both from an operational and finance background. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Wholesale Products and it would be desirable if you had some Front Office and financial system knowledge, specifically Wallstreet and/or Murex.
