6 month + contract - possible right to hire for a Sr. IT Sourcing Specialist. Local candidates preferred. Must be able to pass 20 year criminal background check.
Candidate should have a strong background working in diverse suite of systems, and application software packages across each of its business units to execute management activities of critical processes including: Finance; HR; Transportation; Warehouse; Infrastructure; Analytics; Merchandising; Marketing; Mobile, etc.
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the management and execution of the enterprise sourcing process including supporting the business in making effective sourcing decisions. This person executes and delivers value through strategic, operational and transactional sourcing initiatives working in partnership with client's vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to internal partners and seek alignment to assist in developing category plans, influence spend and cost savings through vendor rationalization and driving economies of scale
- Lead the procurement function and oversee all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement of IT good and services.
- Assist internal partners to resolve vendor management issues
- Facilitate vendor risk management and due diligence
- Contribute to the analysis of complex situations, identify risks and contribute to the development of risk mitigation
- Align leadership through sourcing strategy advice and consultation to best achieve the business strategy and objectives
- Navigate, track, monitor and drive best practices across large-scale, complex multi-sourced functions and controls
- Conduct industry analysis as market research and development of negotiation strategy
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field plus 4 years of experience in a Strategic Sourcing or business related role OR 7 years of experience in a Strategic Sourcing or business related role without a degree
1 year of Sourcing experience designing, facilitating and executing RFxs and Sourcing events
1 year of Supplier Management experience
Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally
Demonstrated understanding and application of sourcing policies, procedures and supply strategies
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years of experience in an IT Strategic Sourcing or business related role
1 year of experience with E-procurement tools
4 years of experience with negotiations
