Functional Analyst (Mainframe)
Functional Analyst (Mainframe experience) is needed for a long-term project based in Brussesl, Belgium.
The FA (Functional Analyst) will work on SEMA (Service Management) and Survival projects for the Inbound part of the DCC (Digitalization Competence Center). These projects are smaller, but yet necessary for our business and need be achieved quickly and accurately.
Besides this, the FA will work on the Business As Usual tasks of DCC, together with our Senior Solution Analyst and also help on the upcoming P2P project.
The FA will therefore analyze and translate the "requirements" in a functional design, taking into account the context (the existing architecture, technical possibilities and limitations ...). The FA also implements and maintains specific applications, provides end user support within his/her scope.
Key responsibilities
Functional analysis
- FA for the SeMa and Survival projects, take responsibility regarding the quality of the project with the aim of determining the potential functional changes and/or improvements to the subsystems.
- Searches for the necessary information, organizes if necessary reviews
- For more complex projects perform functional analysis of the systems in cooperation with the business representatives.
Technical design
- Take the final responsibility for the quality of the technical project and thus ensure the development of a manageable system that meets the standards and can be integrated into the landscape of existing IT systems.
- Organizes if necessary reviews
- Assess if the technical analysis meets the functional requirements
Compliance with Standards
- Working in line with the standards applied within the company, to actively monitor the implementation of standards, to develop applications in a uniform way.
Business Requirements
- Review the high level business requirements (written by the business)
- Review the detailed requirements

- Validate the changes
Must have
- Strong functional background and knowledge (min. 3 years)
- Interest in delivering small, diverse assignments
- Willing to take ownership of the SeMa and Survival projects
- Very flexible, Agile mindset and experience in working in an Agile context
- Knowledge of data models
- Very strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Quick learner, can work well independent
