Marketing Operations: Commercial Insights & Analytics5 month contract with probable extension in Basel, Switzerland
Position purpose
This position ensures best practice market research activities and that all projects are supporting business decisions. The incumbent is a market research professional with an in-depth know-how of all areas of market research.
Major tasks and responsibilities of position
- Attending monthly Brand Core Team meetings; reviewing key MR insights and providing input to key brand team decisions
- Participating in regular and ad hoc meetings with Therapeutic Area head and brand managers to discuss brand strategy, plans and MR needs
- Leading monthly Commercial Insights and Analytics Community Calls with main global and regional markets
- Implementing MR plan and presenting key deliverables to brand team (including Global ATU, Message Recall Study and other strategic MR projects)
- Working collaboratively together with local and regional CI&A colleagues to obtain input & approvals and deliver results
- Liaising with key preferred agencies to ensure quality deliverables
- Providing key data for monthly Brand Review (country/global market share data)
- Maintaining CI&A Cockpit for Global projects
- Managing CI&A budget
Qualifications
- MBA or other advanced degree in fields such as Economics, Business Administration. Statistics, Psychology, Life Sciences, Public Health or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years market research experience, at least 2 years out of it in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ideally will have an in-depth knowledge in the field of ophthalmology, specifically within Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Macular Edema, and or Retinal Vein Occlusions.
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills are necessary, along with the ability to influence managers at all levels within market research suppliers / consultants.
- Ability to lead and coordinate projects through international and interdisciplinary groups and must be able to clearly and concisely communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is required, second and third language would be a plus.
- Requires thorough knowledge of audits, questionnaireand data analysis including statistical know-how:
- Sample Drawing Methodology
- Descriptive Statistics
- Multivariate Analyses: Regression Analyses, Factor Analyses, Cluster Analyses etc.
- Conjoint Analyses: CBC, ACA, HB etc. - Software knowledge on a sophisticated level is required, especially:
- Office Programs, especially in Excel
- Statistical Programs like SPSS
