For our client, an international pharma company, we are looking for a
Sourcing Manager - Corporate Functions (m/f)

Your tasks:
  • Advise and support defined key business stakeholders within the Procurement category Professional Services
  • Own a spend category for all the company's divisions and functions
  • Define the respective category strategy and manage relevant suppliers within Professional services covering a regional spend of 35 million EUR per year
  • Create and implement a sourcing strategy that adds significant value of the business (e.g. savings, payment terms, increased compliance/sustainability, reduced risk)
  • Keep up to date on category market intelligence and supply market trends to gain competitive market advantage and to make better business decisions
  • Analyze and understand total cost of ownership structures for areas of responsibility to develop better and/or innovative pricing models
  • Apply state-of-the-art Supplier Management to whole supply base within responsibility
  • Steer and align supplier stakeholder landscape with internal business stakeholders and external key supplier contacts to build uniform understanding of supplier’s role and performance
  • Develop a supplier strategy that is in-line with existing sourcing strategies and for achievement of strategic objectives, e.g. analyzing supplier cost structures and drivers and discuss continuous improvement and process optimization with suppliers
  • Establish effective, trustful relationships with local key Business Stakeholders to set joint targets and align sourcing projects (also across-categories) and act as the contact for sourcing a variety of services for the business stakeholder community
  • Know business strategies objectives, understand and challenge resulting business requirements
  • Jointly define and agree what value procurement can add for the relevant stakeholder community


Your qualifications
  • Advanced degree is highly preferred (Master, MBA e.g.).
  • Solid experience, working knowledge of sourcing process and tactical purchasing principles and practices
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust sourcing priorities as dictated by the dynamics of projects, to include the ability to change resources to solve a diversity of problems
  • Solid category expertise
  • Strong negotiation, communication, influencing and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated analytical decision making skills and creative thought process ability
  • Experience in Change Management and Project Management
  • Financial Acumen and strategic mindset and passion for the job
  • Able to work in teams
  • Fluent in German and English
