I am currently recruiting for a Content Marketing Manager to join a large banking organisation located in Coventry. This will initially be a 3 month contract with a £200 daily rate.

Overall purpose of role:

This role will form part of the Email Content Marketing Team, alongside four other Email Content Marketing Managers. Its overall purpose is to support the Head of Email Marketing Execution in driving significant transformation across the Creative quality of the Content we produce every day, through the email channel. The role will be required to support our Email Content Marketing team purpose, ambitions & key objectives - doing so with real passion, energy and a very visible 'love of their craft'. This role will work collaboratively with our key stakeholders from across UK to execute brilliantly effective creative Email content for our Colleagues, our Customers & our Clients.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Head of Email Content Marketing in driving the significant transformation required across our newly formed Email Content Marketing Team.
  • Role-model our desired C&CE behaviours and support the embedding of a genuinely collaborative spirit, inside and outside our team - help make Email Content Marketing a great place to work.
  • Manage their individual budgets - thoughtfully and efficiently as to maximise the impacts of our funding and cement the necessary ROI.
  • Create and produce brilliantly effective Email Content for the benefit the organisation - differentiating the organisation vs. our competitors, through our superior communications quality.
  • Deliver exceptional e2e campaign management of our Email channel content outputs for our key audiences:
    Customers, Clients & Colleagues. Own the embedding AND 'after-care' stages of content delivery.
  • Be organised to enable agile content execution across councils - ensuring tighter creative alignment - do this by receiving briefs from both our Content Planning & Content Strategy Teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the Brand & Marketing team to ensure confident activation of our emerging brand guidelines across all of our Content Marketing's execution.
  • Be organised yet flexible to leverage content channel specialism and omni-channel content development.
  • Do this by managing relationships with our Content Creation Team and our various external agency partners.
  • Essential Skills:

    Qualifications:

    • The role-holder will be degree-level qualified (be it university or industry-based qualifications).

    Industry Experience:

    • Extensive marketing experience and experience of working in high performing teams

    Content Marketing Delivery:

    • A broad and extensive experience of delivering content outputs and world-class creative delivery for large-scale organisations - both as a marketing professional and a practitioner of award-winning content outputs.

    Email Marketing:

    • A broad and extensive experience of direct marketing, and proven results, particularly in directly marketing to customers via email- including planning, scheduling & prioritising, customer targeting, channel management, effective promotion of products and services, email personalisation, implementation and governance.
    • The editorial plan, which establishing the best timing and sequencing of stories, that show an expert point of view on priority topics (driven by councils and audience needs), which arms customers with knowledge and information so they make better, more informed financial choices
    • A flexible structure and process that enables the rapid delivery of planned messaging (topical seasonal, and evergreen) and reactive messaging, that embraces an external news agenda
    • Deliver the customer-first communications through our most relevant/effective channels to increase customer engagement and advocacy.

    • Able to shape strategy and convert into tactical execution. Ability to make decisions that will (positively) impact the future strategic direction of Email Content Marketing.

    • Track record of delivering results in competitive markets; prioritising opportunities and activity to have the greatest commercial impact.

    • Confident in the careful and controlled management of budgets.

    Customer Focus:

    • Instinctive approach to matching customer needs with our Content opportunities.

    External Awareness:

    • Ability to spot world-class organisational capability across a variety of industries.

    Driving Innovation:

    • Ability to analyse situations in order to proactively spot opportunities and purposefully propose positive change and innovation.

    Subject Knowledge:

    • In content disciplines and its impact on our Colleague, Customer & Client experience.

    Influencing Skills:

    • Including negotiating with internal & external stakeholders; whilst also influencing the future direction of (and outlining the high-quality expectations within) Email Content Marketing.

    Communication & Presentation skills:

    • Ability to positively impact their own personal impact (internally) and the public image of the organisation (externally) through confident, impactful & high quality communications and presentations.
    • Confident in 'communicating our story' to a vast range of key influencers.
