Regional Opex Manager/High Wycombe - Pinewood Campus/6 months Contract/37 to 48 GBP (Per Hour)

Reporting to Regional Planning Senior Finance Manager

Position Description Summary

The BS Centre of Excellence based in Pinewood has an opening for an experienced finance professional heading up the Regional OPEX team for all commercial and regional functions for the consumer business. This role will have responsibility for providing all financial planning, reporting and analytics support to the Regional Business Unit Finance teams with regards to regional operating expenses and regional office submissions, as well as providing planning process leadership in compensation and zero based out of pocket budgeting for all consumer management clusters, whilst driving finance standardisation and enhancing analytics capabilities for the cross-sector finance function in EMEA

Key Responsibilities

Process responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities include the following:-

o Leading all regional and cluster SG&A planning, reporting and analytics for Consumer EMEA, including SMART Spend analytics processes

o Aligning and facilitating the development of regional and cluster Brand Marketing Expense (BME) budgets, forecasts and plans, and ensuring plans correctly reflected in TM1

o Ensuring preparation and distribution of all regional and cluster BME reporting and base analytics for Consumer EMEA, including monthly tracking of working and non-working media spend and agency commitment

o Leading and facilitating the development of regional Selling, Marketing, Market Consumer Research, R&D, Distribution and Admin budgets and forecasts, including Regional Marketing Operations BME and other project costs

o Regional alignment with Global Functions organisation to ensure consolidation into regional management P&L and understanding of total SG&A responsibility in management income

o Leading consolidation and framing of analysis of plan and actuals SG&A spending and Headcount across Consumer EMEA all prior mentioned functions, including providing insights and analysis to the Regional Analytics team and cluster commercial support teams

o Leading all regional compensation and zero based out of pocket budgeting processes across Consumer EMEA

o Ensure delivery of monthly/quarterly cost centre analytics and project cost trackers for Consumer EMEA, and Brand Marketing expense project trackers, drawing relevant conclusions and providing insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholder

o Providing ad hoc OPEX analytics support to EMEA Global Franchise Organisation (GFO) teams, Regional Marketing Operations (RMO), R&D, CLS and other regional Admin functions, including providing insights enabling delivery of OPEX plans, and identifying opportunities

o Provide guidance and drive alignment with Global Services financial controller to ensure accurate quarterly closing of books for Consumer Regional Office & GFO entities

o Ensure all plans and forecasts related to the Consumer Regional Office & GFO in TM1 and BRAVO, aligning functional experts, ensuring integrity of financial statements, approval of Business Unit Finance (BUF) Director and applicable business partners

o Ad-hoc/continuous improvement projects including documentation review and update

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with minimum 3 years post-qualification experience

Languages:

  • English essential

Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in Matrix organisation and cultivating business relationships
  • Ideally familiar with Johnson & Johnson worldwide procedures, practices and systems.
  • Proven track record of high performance and driving process improvements across a complex business environment
  • Strong management accounting background
  • Prior working knowledge of TM1, SAP BW
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office is required
