Job Description

- This is not a Business Analyst role, this is essentially a requirements gathering function, where you will be expeted to have a genralist knowledge of on-boarding, credit risk and legal negotiations. You will then translate thos requirements and orate & share them to an appropriate audiance/stakeholder.

Overall Job Purpose

Within the Client Management department of the Client Service team objective is to provide our clients with a top of the range service and ensure a dedicated follow up of their products.

Working closely with the different teams (Sales,Business manager,Middle and Back Office, etc), Global Markets Business Lines (ex GECD, FI) and products (Equity, Credit, Interest Rate derivatives, Cash management, etc), the Client service Team engages all level of management internally and externally in developing operational efficiency to advance the firm to firm relationship.

Within Client Service, the Client Integration team objective is to be the unique interface for on-boarding new and existing OTC counterparties (FI and GECD). The goal, for this team, is to facilitate a global and consistent on-boarding service to clients.

The team works around 3 main themes:

  • Coordination of the on-boarding with a key focus to both the Tier 1 and prioritised clients
  • Facilitation and coordination of the on-boarding process across (Risk, Legal and Due-Diligence processes and gathering and storage of regulatory data).
  • Client contact with onsite Due-Diligence visits, particularly for Tier I and priority Clients (includes Risk, Legal, IRM and Front Office).

Key Responsibilities and approximates time split (%)

The Client Integration team is primarily involved with the on-boarding of clients for OTC derivative transactions and therefore require the granting of credit limits by GRM (Group Risk Department) and the preparation of legal documentation (eg Master agreements such as ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA etc.) by Legal (Legal Department).

The team covers Global Market Sales in UK, while a similar team is covering France based marketers.

The primary coverage is for institutional clients such as asset managers, regulated funds, hedge funds, pension funds, financial institutions and insurance companies and in a less extend, corporates.
Implement the Client Integration strategy
Coordinate and communicate the on-boarding process to our internal stakeholders.

  • Proactively propose solutions and facilitate OTC on boarding requests primarily through: Risk Capital Markets (Risk-IM), KYC Due-diligence (KYC-DD), Legal Department (Legal) and Collateral Management, Regulatory teams including R2C2
  • Solutions will involve a detailed understanding of Risk, Legal, KYC and Collateral obligation parameters so that mitigants can be found to onboard clients more efficiently.
  • Manage, coordinate and track the prioritisation process. Communicate the process to our internal stakeholders identified above
  • Project mode for the on-boarding of key clients

Maintain regular contacts and good relationship with business partner teams.

  • Senior business people (Desk heads, Rates, Credit, Foreign Exchange and Equity Derivatives and IRM).
  • Risk Management, Legal and Business Management (Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives) and KYC/Due-diligence
  • External clients (specifically on boarding, legal, credit and operations counterparts).
  • Enhance inter-departmental relationships (Risk, Legal, KYC/DD and IRM, R2C2).
  • ensure maximum transparency for OTC on boarding requests

Ensure efficient management of operational risk

  • Promote the overall understanding of risk, process and policy across primarily Sales, by providing on boarding requirements and process training to new sales people as necessary.
  • Review incidents on a monthly basis to detect trends and ensure proper actions are taken to avoid reoccurrence.

Propose efficiency and process streamlining initiatives

  • Automate processes and interactions wherever possible to obtain higher productivity and quality
  • Participate in simplifying and harmonizing the integration processes, controls
  • Participate into the development of key projects (incl UAT when required)

Ensure Best Practice of the daily Client Integration Facilitator role

  • Ensure that on boarding production and ad hoc query resolution is completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure level of service produced, meets client's/internal stakeholders expectation
  • Ensure follow up of critical issues/topics and to find solutions
  • Report KPI's on volumes, priority on boarding's and standard turnaround times in conjunction with the team head

Essential Experience

. Detailed knowledge of counterparty risk requirements for primarily institutional clients (mainly non-bank financial institutions such as asset managers, regulated funds, hedge funds, pension funds, financial institutions and insurance companies etc.)
. Solid experience in banking and on-boarding related activity
. Sound knowledge of capital market products.
. Detailed understanding of legal documentation, ISDA and CSA, GMRA, IFEMA etc
. Proven experience interacting with senior business functions and individuals.
. History of achievement in previous roles
. Degree qualified
. Fluent in English and any other language is a plus
. IT literate and familiar with Microsoft office (Excel to macro level), PowerPoint, Access etc
