Description

Job Overview:

Manages all accounting, including revenue recognition, expense recording, and timely and accurate closes. Ensures the preparation of accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial statements and other financial data in accordance with applicable SEC, U.S., GAAP, statutory and regulatory requirements. Keeps abreast of changes to accounting requirements to ensure ongoing compliance. Develops and implements companywide accounting policies in conformance with GAAP and current accounting pronouncements. Prepares period-by-period analyses and explains significant account variances. Develops and implements cost-effective controls to promote data integrity and minimize risk. Monitors compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures and with all regulatory requirements.

Support the monthly accounting close cycle
Provide accounting guidance and support to the regions and business units
Perform and/or review account reconciliations
Lead special projects, including researching, consulting and drafting technical memorandums on proposed and/or completed transactions and issues
Oversee due diligence for potential acquisition or investments
Manage disclosure committee process, preparation of audit committee communications, training on corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

Education:

Knowledge/Experience:

5-8 years of relevant related work experience-big 4 public accounting firm experience or similar technical accounting experience in large public company
Strong project management skills
Ability to collaborate with different individuals across the organization, and has the ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others to achieve objectives
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with emphasis on building strong, longer-term relationships worldwide across varying geographies and functions
Self-motivated with ability to meet project deliverables
Proficiency with researching accounting literature including FASB, SEC, AICPA, tax expertise a plus
