*SIPP Administrator, Global Asset Management Bank, Liverpool- 6 months initial*

My client, a Global Asset Management Custodial Bank, require a competent Self Invested Personal Pension Administrator (SIPP) to join their team in Liverpool, on an initial 6 month contract.

As a member of the SIPP Administration Team, you will provide a high quality, compliant pension administration service whilst driving the member and client experience to a best in class position.

The environment is fast paced and deadline driven. Strong communication skills and a confident nature are essential for this team.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking all aspects of SIPP administration including new business processing, transfers and contributions, ongoing servicing, calculating and paying benefits, undertaking regular/mandatory reviews and calculating death benefits.
  • Adhering to internal procedures, controls and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Handling client and member enquiries in a professional and conscientious manner, demonstrating high levels of accuracy and customer service at all times.
  • Maintaining high quality member records and administering all transactions in a timely manner.
  • Working in a flexible, co-operative manner with team members to deliver high quality service.
  • Drafting written correspondence.
  • Quality checking work completed by other administrators.
  • Processing complaints at the earliest opportunity with a positive attitude, addressing the true root cause and implementing effective corrective action in order to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Identifying and reporting risks and breaches immediately to the Operational Manager and/or the Operational Risk and Compliance Departments.
  • Making suggestions to continually enhance service delivery, improve processes and reduce potential complaints and business risks.
  • To self educate on new products and changes to system and documentation, and communicate such developments to the administration team.
  • Project input to new pension products, system testing and design

Essential

  • Relevant experience within a SIPP or Pension Administrator role
  • Strong working knowledge of SIPP and personal pension arrangements.
  • Excellent understanding of pensions and the tax regime in which they operate.
  • Good understanding of FCA compliance rules relating to SIPPs.
  • Professional pension qualification Experience of pension administration and illustration systems.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems

Experience

The candidate will ideally have experience in one of the following areas:

  • Pension Administration
  • Financial Services/Banking
