Here is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the World's biggest IT consulting company as a Scrum Master in Edinburgh and work on a project for one of the UK's biggest banking client.

++ Candidate should have an experience in Banking & Finance Domain
++ Candidate should have knowledge of modern development practices and tools for example - XP, TDD, Continuous integration, build agent etc.
++ Candidate should have Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, CSP)

Purpose of Role:

The ScrumMaster is responsible for making sure a Feature Team team lives by the values and practices of Scrum. The ScrumMaster is often considered a coach for the Feature team, helping them become a high performing team, increasing the productivity, frequency and quality of delivery, and driving the continuous improvement of the team. The ScrumMaster also acts as the process owner for the Feature Team, and maintains the relationship with the project's key stakeholder, who is referred to as the product owner.

The ScrumMaster ensures the Feature team performs at their highest level. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, protecting the team from outside influences or distractions and working with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint.

What does this role holder do (Accountabilities):

• Is accountable for ensuring the Feature team understand Agile practices, the Scrum framework and values, and that the team uses this framework to deliver working software to satisfy Platform customers and react to their needs quickly.
• Transforms the Feature team to become self organising to reduce management overhead costs, using techniques such as Systems & Lean thinking .
• Guides and coaches the Feature team on self organising (e.g. Facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating) to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks, to deliver more cost effective business value outcomes for the customer
• Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the Feature team and takes action to improve this to ensure a high performing team delivering excellent customer outcomes.
• Guides the Feature team to work at a sustainable pace removing peaks and troughs to allow for continuous delivery and remove impediments to reduce time to market.
• Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving.
• Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution to help the teams become high-performing .
• Ensures the Feature team builds relationships to promote internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information to all interested parties.
• Educates the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog.
• Helps the Feature team to define their ways of working and the definition of any processes that provide structure for them. For example the creation of workflows in tools used such as Jira, the development of team guidelines, etc.
• Provides all support to the Feature team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
• Actively contributes to their Centre of Excellence (COE) specialism by cross sharing of best practice and learnings with their CoE & Community of Practice (CoP) colleagues.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience of successful Scrum adoption
• Knowledge of modern development practices and tools for example - XP, TDD, Continuous integration, build agent etc.
• Experience of changing organisationalteamdepartment mind-sets, culture and structure
• Experience of coaching cross-functional teams into high performing teams
• Understanding and experience of applying empirical process control
• Deep understanding of the Agile Manifesto and principles
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, CSP)
• Experience of automated testing frameworks
• Experience and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
