Description
Harvey Nash's public sector client is currently looking for an interim Commercial Director to join their Glasgow based team. As part of the leadership team and reporting to Programme and PMO Director, your role will be to take ownership of the commercial aspects of a high profile programme of work. This role would be ideally suited to someone with significant experience of managing large contracts and a background in finance.
Overview of role:
- Overall commercial management and governance of the £264m programme
- Ensuring i) integrity of all commercial management processes and information ii) Contract compliance and optimisation to deliver and surpass all contract outcomes.
- The procurement and negotiation leadership for the overall programme and future funding of other programmes
Essential Skills
- Experience of procurement, contract management and negotiating contracts (ideally within Public Sector)
- Track record of managing high profile multi-million and complex projects (ideally within Public Sector)
- Relevant Law qualification or equivalent directly relevant experience operating in a similar role will be considered
- Implementation of controls relating to finance, governance and reporting
- Contribute to the development of the business case
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
