Description

We are looking for our client, a financial institution located in London, for external support with skills and abilities as stated below:

Experienced Customer Compliance Market Data Auditor (Market Data + Services) (f/m)
Field of activity

The Customer Compliance team is part of the Organisational Effectiveness & Controls section within Group Client Services & Administration and is responsible for customer market data audit activities to validate revenues, reporting,

licensing and compliance of customers with the relevant market data agreements. The objective of the team is to ensure all clients are audited regularly in order to minimise the risk of unreported and unlicensed market data.

Tasks/responsibilities

  • Conduct market data customer audits of clients (subscribers, licensees, market data vendors, service facilitators) remotely and on site following best practice guidelines to identify discrepancies in accordance with relevant contractual requirements for Information Usage by these organisations;
  • Produce accurate and detailed audit analyses for presentation to both audited parties and internally to audit team and with due consideration to cost and time efficiencies
  • Extend, update and document acquired audit knowledge and processes including data delivery platforms, technical systems, applications, entitlement control systems, market data management systems and administrative practices and communicate to other team members
  • Provide input into the internal development of audit policy and the contractual terms for agreements audited
  • Update audit strategies to ensure standardised, efficient audit processes are maintained
  • Develop and maintain effective and harmonious internal and external working relationships and manage expectations throughout the audit process at customers
  • Track individual audit status and provide input to Management reporting requirements
  • Effectively plan and complete audit work to ensure individual and team targets are met

Qualifications/required skills

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven experience of researching and analysing data with high level of attention to detail
  • Good analytical and organisational skills as well as technical understanding
  • Excellent communication skills and diplomatic manner both oral and written
  • Appropriate, relevant knowledge and experience in the financial services industry in the market data area
  • Knowledge of market data delivery systems, platforms, vendor and third party applications, entitlement systems in addition to data management inventory and administration systems
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement and proficiency in another European language especially German would be advantageous
  • Ability to adapt and adopt new processes and approaches to working practices
  • Intermediate or advanced skills at handling MS Office applications in particular MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook
  • Willingness to travel

Optional skills 

  • Ideally at least three years of working experience and interaction with clients
  • Ideally, appropriate knowledge and experience within the financial services industry, particularly with knowledge of how market data is used in a trading environment
  • Preferably, familiarity with vendor, third party application providers' products and permissioning systems (DACS/Wombat)
  • Ideally, Awareness of third party market data inventory systems (Infomatch, MDM etc)
