Description

Interim opportunity available with a Leading Corporate and Investment Bank in London, the successful candidate for this will have a Company Secretary or Client Services background. Existing knowledge of market, credit or operational risk is preferred but not mandatory, however prior experience of working with senior level stakeholders (Director to Board Level) with an Investment Bank is required.

As part of the EMEA Risk Management Regulatory and Governance team within the EMEA Chief Risk Office, you will support the EMEA Chief Risk Officer in providing cross-functional coordination of regional, legal entity and enterprise Risk deliverables, governance materials and related activities.

You will have routine interface with the EMEA Risk Leadership team, Front Line Units, Enterprise Support and Control Functions, and reporting/business management groups across EMEA Risk.

Responsibilities:

    • Cross-functional coordination and interaction to deliver routine and ad hoc submissions to management, Boards and regulators.
    • Coordination of EMEA Risk governance committee meetings and associated Risk reporting
    • Create management summaries and results orientated presentations for presentation to and discussion with senior management, regulators and other key stakeholders
    • Develop and enhance reports and reporting processes in line with industry/regulatory best practice
    • Assist with ad hoc projects for senior management
    • Requirements:
    • Analytical capability to turn data into "information" through thoughtful analysis
    • Strong organisational skills
    • Understanding of what "best in class" risk management reporting looks like and ability to effect changes to achieve these standards
    • Broad understanding of investment banking and risk management
    • Ability to prioritise, execute under tight deadlines and produce high quality work with strong attention to detail
    • Previous experience in a Company Secretary or equivalent function is desirable
    • Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of management (specifically Director level and above)
    • Previous experience at a Regulator or Financial Consultancy
    • MBA, CFA, ACA, ACIS, ICSI or equivalent professional qualification desirable
    • Advanced Proficiency in PowerPoint
