Description

Data Quality Manager

The Role

The Data Quality Manager will be based with a leading financial services company in Halifax on an initial contract length of 3 months. Although the initial contract is for 3 months, the contract has a very high potential to go long past the initial contract on offer. The initial day rate on offer is between £/day.

This individual will sit in the Data Management Team within the wider Retail Consumer Credit Risk Division (RCCR). The main purpose of the role is to lead, ensure and support continued compliance to internal framework, policy and external regulatory drivers applicable within the RCCR Data Management and Quality domain.

The responsibilities of the Data Quality Manager will be

  • Providing subject matter expertise and domain/lead point of contact in the Data Management and Quality subject area to/for colleagues and projects; utilising personal experience gained over a number of years working within the data management and data quality arena
  • Confirming, defining and enforcing data quality requirements within a project and business as usual capacity
  • Leading management of data breaches and the remediation processes; helping to resolve data quality issues
  • Lead the on-going development and sustainability of existing Data Management Frameworks
  • Measure data quality and build/manage data quality documentation
  • Input into technical solution options aligned to the strategic architecture (SAS and Unix)

Essential experience/skill set

  • An active passion for Data Management, Data Quality and wider data concepts, processes and considerations
  • Data Quality experience including data quality frameworks
  • Technical skills and acumen; preferably in the market leading SAS analytical software.
  • Interpretive skills such as an ability to understand identify and describe potentially complex situations and data structures whilst analysing root cause failure
  • Experience of financial product data, especially Credit Risk
  • Awareness of Financial Regulatory demands and business drivers eg regulatory reporting
  • SAS technology and tools

The Client

We have a number of current and former contractors who have or are still currently working with the client, and we all hear the same positive feedback all the time. It is a great place to work, and a great place to establish yourself as a reliable contractor. The client ideally likes to keep hold of good contractors, and has quite a high potential to move on to future projects if you have proven yourself as a reliable contractor.

Being a Contractor

As the role is a contract role you will need to go through a limited company. If you are new to contracting, or looking to get back to contracting, we have a number of suppliers that we work with that can guide you through the process of setting up a limited company.

How to Apply

To apply for the role, you can apply directly through the site or you can reach me on the contact details below. Ideally we aim to provide feedback within 72 hours of your application but in some instances that may not be possible.
