Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Internal Communication Manager to be based in Inner London for an initial period of 3 months with possible extension.
Essential Skills:
Working with senior colleagues and stakeholders to develop and implement creative, insight -driven engagement strategies and plans that meet business objectives and support campaign delivery
Evidence of planning and delivering integrated, multi -channelled internal communications campaigns
A proven track record in using customer insight to successfully target communications
Experience of using evaluation to drive internal campaigns
First-rate writing skills with the ability to write for a range of audiences
Ability to deliver at pace and to tight deadlines juggling a range of conflicting priorities
Experience of building and maintaining strong internal and external working relationships across all levels, gaining the confidence of directors and senior managers
Previous experience working at a management level in Internal Communications
Develop our professional internal communications offer
Strategically plan and deliver internal communications campaigns in line with departmental and wider Civil Service priorities
Provide advice to colleagues across the Department, across all grades
Use staff insight and evaluation to inform your approach
Measure success against strategy and further identify areas/channels of success and areas/channels in need of further attention
Work closely with other Government departments to help improve the overall professionalism of Government Internal Communications
Specification
You will have significant experience of turning organisational priorities into accessible staff communications using a range of internal channels, including face-to-face channels. Experience of leading a team and managing and developing people is essential, as is evidence of balancing conflicting and pressing demands and delivering to deadlines.
Some experience of other Communications disciplines, such as media and campaigns work would be an advantage.

You will need to constantly evolve your approach to engage your busy audience by strategically interpreting ever-changing communications approaches and applications.
Excellent writing, planning and editorial skills and a forensic eye for detail are essential. You will be a strategic thinker and have a well-developed influencing style.
