Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant to work as a WTG Blade Supervisor/Inspector (Staff to Senior Specialist) for their offshore wind farm project. The focus of the WTG blade Inspector will be to work from the scope, monitor the production activities with specific focus on blade completion steps including coating and mounting of dino tails on the blade. To monitor the progress of production activities to identify critical process steps in term of quality and throughput. To report on findings on weekly basis to the clients WTG Fabrication & Quality Manager. This is a 4 months freelance contract role to start from 1st September 2017 up until 31st December 2017 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. Hours of work will be 5 days per week, 8 hrs per day.
Responsibilities:
  • To monitor/supervise/inspect components and manufacturing activities.
  • Take part in the supplier's inspection and test activities.
  • Follow-up on manufacturing progress.
  • Report non-conformities and observations.
Tasks:
  • Monitor production activities and production documentation as spot checks.
  • To monitor product quality and participate in FAI/FAT activities and audits.
  • Report non-conformities detected during inspection and test and manufacturing.
  • Report relevant quality issues in NCR system (Synergi).
  • Follow-up on condition and maintenance at supplier's storage area.
  • To follow-up on manufacturing progress according to agreed project manufacturing schedule.
  • Support in coordination, installation and random check of Employers Deliveries.
  • To keep track of trend concerning repeated non-conformities and manufacturing errors and follow-up with the supplier.
  • To verify quality criteria applied by the supplier in manufacturing.
  • Documentation of daily work and inspection to WTG Fabrication & Quality Manager.
  • To prioritise participate in inspection and test activities for different components according to failure trends and critically of failures.
  • To take part in the inspection and test at sub-suppliers according to need to follow-up on non-conformities and errors.
  • Review quality related as-built documentation.
  • Highlight HSE related issues where relevant.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years experience within wind and/or manufacturing.
  • Minimum 1 years. experience from a similar position.
  • Must work well in a team, have good communication skills.
Special Provisions:

The Consultant must have his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and have his/her own iPhone mobile telephone.
The Consultant must have his/her own PPE equipment.
