An opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join the Finance team supporting the MBNA Integration Programme.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager within the Investment support team, the role sits as part of a team of 3 and is based in Cardiff.

This role has the responsibility for providing financial investment support to the project over the 2 year integration period. You will provide a comprehensive and proactive service including Planning/
Forecasting, Month End reporting and business partnering support to a wide range of stakeholders across Change, Finance, IT and Business functions, supporting the financial management of both investment spend and integration benefits.

Strong analytical and communication skills are central to this role.

Key Accountabilities/Relationships:

Liaising with Project Managers and Programme Management Offices to confirm project impacts/cost forecast and support month-end activity such as accruals and journals.

Supporting project managers in compiling financial templates supporting business case submissions and approvals.

Delivering and presenting month-end reporting packs for various stakeholders and with inclusion of relevant commentary and analysis.

Supporting production of relevant forecasting models and providing appropriate levels of insight and analysis.

Develop and report benefits tracking processes across the Programme, ensuring Group governance standards are Embedded.

Ad-hoc analysis and support to project activities and other stakeholders as required.

Supporting the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and other Financial Control requirements such as compliance with relevant standards including those set by Group Investment Finance.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions and divisions.

Reviewing and improving existing processes and to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

Qualified finance professional with a proven track record gained in an environment with significant change.

Understanding and experience of key Finance systems (SAP experience preferable) and processes for investment cost reporting,

Ability to influence at senior levels

Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels

The contract length is 12 months initially and is paying up to £380 per day
